K, my love!

While waiting for Alfred to collate all the KK pictures, I have been enjoying myself very much for the past few days, especially the last two days...or night.

Friday night was a farewell party for Jing Jing and Soh Ling, for their study in Korea. We went for a seafood at Defu Lane, followed by KTV session at Top One in Bugis.

Me with my beloved K!

Cute Jing Jing.... I bet those kimchi guys will go crazy for her!

The always hilarious Soh Ling....or Stephanie. Ha ha...

Oh no, I become a nai ma!

Back from Kota Kinabalu

'Alamak, my body so pain, my legs so pain...'

I guess this would be my tagline for at least 1 week. Just touchdown at Senai Airport from KK on last night 11.15pm, then reach Singapore at 1.30am, thanks for the super jam traffic at JB and Singapore custom sites.

It has been fun fun fun fun fun 5 days trip in Kota Kinabalu, and the best thing is, everyday we are pushing our bodies to the limit that now my whole body is very pain, from top to toe, even my hair.

There are so many pictures that I want to post them here, but I need to collect all the photos from my tripmates before I post them here. I guess there must be more than 2000 pictures all together, huge project.

Anyway, the little disappointing thing is that, we didn't climb to the summit of Gunung of Kinabalu due to harsh weather. Affected by the Nargis cyclone, we made it to Laban Rata only, which is already a big achievement when the wind is blowing our bodies from the mountain. I witnessed my tripmate Samantha nearly flown off on the way to Pendant Hut, it was that scary.

Before I tidy all the pictures, let me give your a sneak preview...

A picture from Senai Airport's female toilet. Very high class right? (Eh, mana pictures from KK?) Sabar, I will post them here, soon after my legs can walk again.

He he...

Gunung Kinabalu, aku datang!

It has been a busy and crazy two days...

13 May: Touch down at Changi airport Terminal THREE (yup, the new terminal) at 530am. The airport is so new until I still can smell the paint. Too bad I was too tired to take picture, so no picture to show you. :(

Reach home at 630am, refreshing bath after 24hrs travel, then start to tidy my house. This is what happen when you are living with nerdy type of guy, they are good in computer but not in house-keeping.

By the time I am quarter done, it is already late afternoon. Time to get ready and see my friends.

The night ends with a very satisfied smile because I had a super nice chicken meal in Paya Lebar. All the way from Woodlands to the east to eat chicken, luckily it worth the effort of travel. Again, forget to take picture because my eyes can only see good food now, no other thing.

14 May: Wake up early morning, continue my quarter done house cleaning. Again, by the time I am half done, it's late afternoon again. Time to meet my friends again. But today different lar, got do a bit of retail therapy, which is 2 pairs of shoes + 1 ski pants + some KK trip items.

Go to bed at 11pm, very worried if I cannot wake up at 3am the next day.

15 May: which is now! Luckily my sms alert tone is loud enough to wake me up. Huan Liang is so kind to give me a morning-sms, at 230am.

Now I am all ready, but since the car hasn't arrive my house, I have nothing to do but wait...and wait...and wait...

Ok, It is a boring blog, I know. No picture no funny expression.

I promise, I will make up with a good KK blogs, ok? ok?

My flight is AirAsia from Senai/JB to Kota Kinabalu , 725am. So we hired a car service to pick us up from our houses to Senai at 3am. It is a big group consisting of 13-14 paxs, which half of them I don't know. Anyway, I believe we all will be buddies after this 5D4N trip.

Gunung Kinabalu, akan aku datang!

Now my only worry is: Can I make it to the summit?

Pals, wish my luck o!

Finally, the day has come, my return trip to Singapore. Oh! Creamy crab. Oh! Merlion. Oh! K box. Oh! Mahjong! Oh! My dear lao peng you.... Here I come!

I know I have been repeating this again and again: time flies. It seems like it was only yesterday that I flew to El Paso for my first semester in MBA. Now I am on transit at Phoenix, waiting for flight to Los Angeles, followed by my direct flight from LAX to SIN.

Opps, here is the PA announcing system: We are in the possible case of seat overbooking and we are looking for volunteer to give up their seats, we will provide you with hotel tonight, your dinner and a round trip credit. We will make you as comfortable as possible.

Psss... I heard the overbooking is about 10 seats.

Who says U.S. is having recession har? still got so many people fly yeah!

Bye bye Spring 2008!

Finally, the toughest time has passed. My last paper ended on yesterday 11.30pm, it is the longest test that I ever have, from 7pm to 11.30pm. And this is the most unique class that I ever had. We actually take class photo before our exam! When was the last time we had class photo? 10 years ago?

Today is my last day in M&M office, everything ended quietly and peacefully, just as what I always wanted - no wishy washy emotion flowing around.

It has been a great time in M&M, where we are all like one big family. Although I always give a blur face when someone lao Spanish, they always explain to me patiently what does it mean.

As for my professors, they are the nicest professors that any TA would want to work with.

As for why am I leaving this department? He he.. I have decided to take a new challenge as a coordinator of International Ambassadors Program. New challenge, new environment, new colleague, new experience and new excitement waiting for me ahead. One thing for sure, it will be an extraordinary one, because we ambassadors are the best!

And what is the thing that I most looking forward now?

Balik Kampung!

Malaysia/Singapore, here I come!
